Q: Is general food now allowed to be imported in capsule form?
A: In September 2023, the General Administration of China Customs issued the Notice of the General Administration of China Customs on Further Doing a Good Job in the Inspection and Supervision of the Import of Capsule General Food. According to the provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and the Measures for the Administration of Import and Export Food Safety, imported food shall comply with the laws, regulations, and national food safety standards of China, those complying with relevant laws, regulations, and national food safety standards of China are allowed to import.
