1. Food advertisements should not publicize health care function or its therapeutic effect on diseases.

At present, most audiences of traditional media are middle-aged and elderly people, and some advertisements confuse the concept of food and medicine. Article 17 of the Advertising Law, with the exception of advertisements for medical treatment, medicine and medical devices, any other advertisements shall be prohibited involving the function of treating diseases, and shall not use medical terms or terms that may easily confuse marketed commodities with medicine and medical devices.

2. The advertisement of health food should not involve the function of disease prevention and treatment.

The advertisement of a health food claims to treat cardiovascular disease and viral myocarditis. The health function approved is enhancing immunity and antioxidant, but the product is publicized to treat myocarditis and cardiovascular diseases. In violation of Article 18 (2) of the Advertising Law.

3. Consumers should consume rationally in the face of food and health food advertisements that claim to treat diseases and improve immunity.

First, we should believe in science. When we feel unwell, we should go to the regular hospital for medical treatment in time; secondly, according to own needs, cool-headed, rational consumption, think twice before making a move, do not be tempted by inflammatory contents and blindly purchase; thirdly, the elderly should correctly understand that food and health food are not medicines, and cannot publicize treatment effect.
